Privacy policy

This policy explains what data the BodyYears app and the bodyyears.com website handle, why, and what your rights are. We designed BodyYears to collect as little data as possible.

1. Who we are

BodyYears is a wellness app operated from Ontario, Canada. For any question about your data: support@bodyyears.com.

2. Test data

To estimate your body age, the app asks for your age, height, weight, information about your habits (sleep, activity, diet, stress, smoking, alcohol), and your results on 3 physical tests.

This information is processed on your phone. In the current version of the app, it is not sent to our servers and we have no access to it. If this ever changes (for example, to back up your progress online), we would first ask for your explicit consent and update this policy.

3. Purchases

Payments and subscriptions are handled by Apple. We never see your payment details. A subscription management provider only tells us the status of your purchase (for example, whether a subscription is active), linked to an anonymous identifier.

4. Usage measurement

To understand how the app can be improved, we record anonymous events such as "test started", "test completed" or "purchase made". These events do not contain your name, your answers or your results.

5. Emails

If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply, and we keep them as long as needed to follow up on your request.

6. Website

bodyyears.com uses no advertising cookies and no trackers. It is hosted by Cloudflare, which may process technical data (such as IP addresses) to keep the site secure and working.

7. Data sharing

We never sell any data to anyone. We only use technical providers (hosting, subscription management, email), which may be located outside Canada, including in the United States, and which only use the data to provide their service to us.

8. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, and withdraw your consent, by writing to support@bodyyears.com. Test data stays on your phone: deleting the app deletes it.

You can also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, the Commission d'accès à l'information if you live in Quebec, or the data protection authority of your country.

9. Minimum age

BodyYears is intended for people aged 18 and over.

10. Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page, and let you know in the app if the change is significant.
